You may not be aware that our firm, The Haggerty Group, has been working with FreeTheKids.org, an orphanage in Les Cayes, Haiti, for the last ten years.  We have not only contributed our funds and personal time, but also raised substantial funds from many family members, friends, and clients to help shelter, feed, and educate many of Haiti’s impoverished children. Currently we have over 600 children residing at the orphanage.  All of us have been watching the terrible situation in Haiti unfold and as a result the orphanage’s resources have been strained.  In addition to the 600+ children at the orphanage, we expect to receive many more children from Port-au-Prince. We have already run through much of our supplies to feed the survivors. Substantial amounts of funds will be needed to acquire food, fuel, and medicine as prices have significantly increased due to the current situation.
